\section{Introduction}
Michael Jackson is by many regarded as the ``King of Pop''. He is one of
the most influential people in the world of pop music. He currently
holds the record for the most sold albums, with his top-album
``Thriller'', which sold over 104 million copies
worldwide.\newline
From just another member in the Jackson 5, he has become a pop icon with
his solo-career and his rather unusual way of life.\newline
Michael was recently the victim of allegations of child abuse at his
Neverland Ranch in Santa Ynez, California, which gave his image a
massive beating.\newline
Michael has also often been accused of attempting to dye his skin white
and change his appearance with plastic surgery, which he plainly
denies.\newline
\section{Early Life and Childhood}
Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in the city of Gary,
Indiana---a minor city in the mid--western United States.\newline
The first time Michael ever performed was at the age of 7 with the group
``The Jackson Brothers''---later ``The Jackson 5'' and ``The Jacksons'',
a band which consisted of only his family members, founded by his
father in 1964. His first solo release was in 1971, which was ``Got To
Be There'', however he remained with the group, and it wasn't until
1984 he formally
parted with the rest of The Jacksons, but before doing so, he ended up
releasing ``Off the Wall'' (which scored three Grammy's---one for
``Favorite Soul\/ R\&B Album'', one for ``Favorite Male Soul\/ R\& B
Artist'', one for  ``Favorite Soul\/ R\& B Single'' and one for ``Best
R\& B Vocal Performance, Male''---as well as an additional two Billboard Awards.
