WHEREAS less than a week ago a new system of governance for the SOSDG entitled "pass the cookie" was implemented by majority vote of the council.
WHEREAS this system, not even fully implemented yet has been since the vote come under constant attack from the one dissenting member of the council with similar and dissimilar systems of governance which would obliterate the as-yet-untried system.
I am calling a vote to begin tomorrow night 4/26/07 at 9pm and end at 11pm quashing any and all proposals of new systems of governance, or changes, or modifications, or amendments, or addendums, to the current "Pass the Cookie" system of governance for a period of three (3) months, retroactive to 11PM EST 4/23/07, and extending (For convenience) to 8/1/07.
The purpose of this measure is to give the newly implemented system the time it requires to mature and become effective among volunteers who are at this time learning to work with it.
The effect of this will be as follows, no governance proposals after the closure of the vote entitled VOTE will be considered by the board, or acted on in any manner. These proposals may be resubmitted after 8/1/07 for consideration by the board.
Further to this effort a chairperson shall be appointed to track vote results, declare openings and closings of votes, and manage the council as needed. I am suggesting myself for this position, however due to the critical nature of stable governance I cannot in good conscience abstain from this vote.

Amendments are not welcome at this time unless the submitter believes the measure should be retracted for such an amendment, in which case the vote will be canceled indefinitely.
