Now here's a pretty big city with some things to do in it. Tobari City is
actually a lot like Celadon City from FireRed and LeafGreen... it has a
Department Store and Game Corner and everything! And, from the looks of it,
the evil organization trying to take over the world (in this case, Team
Galactic) is also around town.

The first place you will probably want to check out is the Department Store,
which can be found on the northern side of town, up on a ridge by some other
houses. Inside, there are 4 floors of shops, along with a roof, as per usual
of Department Stores in Pokemon Games.

Talk to the old lady with a hat on on the first floor of the Depot and she
will give you a Chimchar Mask for your Accessory Case (although, I'm actually
thinking she gives you the Mask of Hikari's starting Pokemon, but I need to
prove this).

On the second floor of the Department Store, talk to the bottom lady at the
counter, and she will give you the Counter Application for your Poketch. It's
a pretty simple Application: you just press the + button on the screen to add
one to the counter. This is handy for keeping track of how many Pokemon you
have fought for, say, EV Training or something.

On the roof (fifth floor), talk to one of the big guys and he will give you a
Prickly Barb (?). Looks like a new item to me, and I couldn't quite figure out
its name, and I have absolutely no clue what it does... Ack. Oh well, it's
here, and you can get it if you want it.

Anyway, other than the Department Store, there's also the Game Corner and the
Gym. The Game Corner can be found on the southeastern side of town, although
you will need to pick up the Coin Case before you can play the Slot Machines
or get any Coins. You can find the Coin Case by talking to the jester inside
of the second house near the Gym (southwestern side of town) and answering his
question with the first option.

Inside of the house next door, you can talk with the lady there and she'll
offer to give your Pokemon a massage that will raise its Happiness. I'm pretty
sure that this can be done once per day. You can also talk to the guy outside
of the two houses to receive TM63 (Distrain).

The big building on the northeastern side of town is the Team Galactic Tobari
Building. You can't get far into it for now, but you can pick up a PP Up on
the left side of the outside of the building.

The Game Corner is the flashy looking house on the southeastern side of town.
You can talk to all of the people inside (after getting the Coin Case) to
squeeze 70 free Coins out of them. You'll have to buy/win any more, though.
You can buy 50 Coins for $1000, or 500 Coins for $10000 by talking to the lady
at the counter. To play the Slot Machines, go up to one, and then press X to
put in three Coins. You can either press X again or press Down and the reels
will start spinning. Then, you can press Y to stop the first reel, B to stop
the second reel, and A to stop the third reel, and you'll receive the payout
as listed on the bottom corners depending on what you get. A type of Poke Ball
may also appear on the bottom, indicating that you will have better luck and
the slots will be sticky to a certain degree depending on which Poke Ball is
down there.

Next door, you can talk to the lady at the counter to redeem your Coins for
the following prizes:

 ,-----------------------------.
( GAME CORNER PRIZES (in COINS) )
 `-.------------------.------.-`
   | Silk Scarf | 1000 |
   | Scope Lens | 1000 |
   | Focus Lens | 1000 |
   | Metronome | 1000 |
   | TM90 | 2000 |
   | TM58 | 2000 |
   | TM75 | 4000 |
   | TM32 | 4000 |
   | TM44 | 6000 |
   | TM89 | 6000 |
   | TM10 | 6000 |
   | TM27 | 8000 |
   | TM21 | 8000 |
   | TM35 |10000 |
   | TM24 |10000 |
   | TM13 |10000 |
   | TM29 |10000 |
   | TM74 |15000 |
   | TM68 |20000 |
   '------------------'------'

Looks like the prices on the good TMs went up. Ugh.

Anyway, I guess now would be a good time to heal up and earn your third Gym
Badge. The Gym is located north of the house that you got the Coin Case at, in
the southwestern area of town. On your way there, Hikari will talk to you and
then run off to the Department Store.

This Gym's puzzle I found rather fun, although I could see where it could
become rather frustrating. Basically, you have to push the sliders on either
side and they will slide around. Certain positions of the sliders will block
your access to certain areas and allow you access to others. You will need to
get the two sliders on the very top pushed, which requires you to form a path
on each of the sides to get back there. It's hard to explain, but just keep at
it, and you'll get the jist of it.

When you get to the end, you'll find Sumomo. Remember, if you leave the
building, the puzzle will reset, so consider your party's status before going
back to heal.

Ok, my Pokemon were extremely strong at this point because I got a bit carried
away with training. If you have a Staraptor, you will completely own Sumomo,
period. Use Aerial Ace against the Meditite and Machoke, and then Infighting
against Lucario. But, that's only assuming you have a Level 34 Staraptor. Even
Staravia will be at a nice advantage, although not quite as effective. If you
don't have either, the fight will be a bit more challenging. You would think
that Psychic-type Pokemon would be effective against a Fighting-type Gym
Leader, although Machoke is the only one of her Pokemon that's weak to Psychic
due to clever typing (Psychic resists Psychic, and so does Steel, so both
Meditite and Lucario only take normal damage). Golbat or Haunter would do
nicely here if you have one trained. Otherwise, keep your HP up, and keep any
Rock-, Normal-, and Steel-types away. Lucario is the main threat, due to its
high level and resistance to a large amount of types.

When you win, she'll give you the Kobol Badge, which lets you use Fly outside
of battle. She will also give you TM60, which contains Drain Punch.

Clefairy does an awesome job at doing nothing productive. You will find it
using Metronome and Sing a lot. Sing can be helpful, but Metronome isn't most
of the time.

After beating them, they'll run into the Warehouse and order them to lock the
doors. Hikari will then tell you to go to Nomose City.

Go inside of the Warehouse and, although you won't be able to proceed any
further, you can pick up HM02 (Fly) in there to assist your travelling needs.
