Hi Scott,
Thanks for the info. I spoke with the client this morning and they have made some more changes to the open position. Here is what I would like to do. I would like to present you to them for a Web Developer position without a Visual Basic concentration. I don't think that they will pull the trigger on you for the Visual Basic job opening based on what I found out this morning. They really need a mid level VB developer. It is pretty critical in terms of the VB development they would require of this person. I would still like to pursue getting you in there as a normal Web Developer without the Visual Basic requirement being so heavy. The Web Developer role would be ASP, SQL, PHP, etc. I'm sure you would have an opportunity to do some VB as well. Given the level of VB development they need from day one I'm not sure it would be fair to you to throw you into that level of VB immediately.
To get you in the door for the basic web developer job the pay may be more like $14/hr with raises happening in the short term once you have proven your skill set. Before I move forward with this please let me know your thoughts and if you would like me to pursue this.
Thanks again,
John
