This is release 0.5 of the OSSIE core framework. The previous release
was release C. We switched to a numeric version system because the
numeric system works better with autoconf and friends.
Major changes in this release:
1) Framework build process uses configure.
2) CORBA object code moved out of the framework.
3) Improved parsing of DCD and SAD files.
4) New more modular sample waveform.
5) Uses omniOrb for CORBA support.
6) OSSIE Waveform Developer - GUI for rapid prototyping of waveforms and components.
7) Many bug fixes.
Download OSSIE from http://ossie.mprg.org.
Report bugs and problems at http://ossie-dev.mprg.org:8080/ using the
ticket system. Use version 0.5 when creating tickets.
OSSIE team members are available on IRC. The server is
irc.freenode.net and the channel is #ossie.
There is a new listserv for ossie support and discussion. Send an
email to listserv@listserv.vt.edu with "subscribe ossie-discuss Your
Name" in the body.
