- cleaning up a bit...
- first off - remove the whole lot of the ndiswapper bits:
- 1) sudo ndiswrapper -r bcmwl5 # remove the file from the ndiswraper driver
- 2) sudo modprobe -r ndiswrapper # remove the driver from the kernel
- 3) sudo apt-get remove ndiswrapper* # uninstall ndiswrapper - we are going to try not to use it
- 4) sudo apt-get install mc # installing a set of simple command line editing and browsing tools - you may already have these
- 5) mcedit /etc/modules
- 6) you now have a blue editor open, add the line bcm43xx to the bottom # Set the bcm43xx module to load automagically
- 7) reboot
