run firstboot
cd /tmp
wget http://www.maxwrt.com/maxwrt.tar.gz
gzip -d maxwrt.tar.gz
basically now you need to export a smb share (samba o windows..) with the name maxwrt deally with not user/pass since thats how i tested it, but it is ready to configure with it
the configuration file is maxwrt.conf
tar -xf maxwrt.tar
then just create a folder named maxwrt off c: and share it to everyone with name maxwrt the name NEEDS to be: maxwrt
now you edit maxwrt.conf
and edit the sharedip, there you put the ip of the windows serving the folder
the rest you dont need to touch
if you are sure everything is correct now then:
./maxinstall
reboot
now do a : free to see available mem there should be a pretty 32mb swap
ipkg update
try: ipkg download tcpdump
ipkg install tcpdump
max tcpdump
