I have two WAPs in the house
They are both dhcp clients
The WAPs are not dhcpd servers
The computers that get Wifi from them get dhcp from my freebsd server
The same server that hands out dhcp leases to the WAPs
So the computer clients get IPs --through-- the WAPs, not from the WAPs
So now I have an OpenWRT device
I want it to "join" the wifi net
I want it to "join" the wifi net by getting a wireless connection to a specific WAP
I don't know if I want the OpenWRT to get an IP from the FreeBSD server
I can manually assign an IP to the WAP but I can't seem to make the WAP
a dhcp client.
Can I get an IP from FreeBSD through the OpenWRT and if so how?
And does the OpenWRT need an IP at all? It should be able to get one
THROUGH the d-link WAP.
