You can trade any D or C grade weapon (except Dualswords) to any other D or C grade weapon of similar crystal value (except Dualswords).
You can trade any D or C grade Dualswords to any other D or C grade Dualswords of similar crystal value (but not to Non-Dualswords).
UPGRADE D>C (cannot upgrade to B; cannot upgrade anything NG, B, A) -> Ancient adena
-D grade Demon Fangs cannot be traded or upgraded to/from.
-C grade Paagrio Axe, Scorpion and Widowmaker cannot be traded or upgraded to/from
-C grade Flamberge cannot be upgraded because there is no twohand sword in the next higher value class. However, you can trade it for another weapon and then upgrade that one
Dual swords may only be exchanged for a dual sword of the same value (and attack power). They may also be upgraded but also top out at the top C grade duals.

stormbringer->katana 696k AA
katana->delusion 1.72 mill AA
delusion->SLS 2.2 mill AA
Mammon takes 280K AA for an upgrade from D Duals to C
Not sure bout this one but seems ok:
To upgrade your weapon costs 120% of the difference in values (NPC price) between the weapons in adena, but you pay in AA. So if the difference is 100,000 A, you pay 120,000 AA. It costs 480k AA to upgrade from a top NPC D Grade weapon to a top craft only D weapon (I upgraded my alts dagger to a Mithril dagger last night).
