I get an error when booting up my fedora core 4.
It is occuring because i upgraded my motherboard.
I only got 1 harddisk in this system on sata port 1.
There is also a cd drive and floppy connected.
The error:

Old mobo: a8v deluxe
New mobo: a8n-vm-csm
The pc still works on its old mobo (i put the HD in another pc with that mobo)
It does also NOT work on my own pc: a8n sli (it gives exacly the same error)
On irc people told me it was not properly recognising the sata harddisk (i tried connecting the harddisk to all 4 sata connections..but none worked) The old mobo only had 2 sata connections, this mobo (and my a8n sli) has 4.
On irc i was told i should update my kernel to the latest version to make it recognise sata.
So I put the HD in the other pc with the a8v deluxe, and did yum update & yum update kernel. It was succesfull.
But it is still giving the error.
I hope someone is able to help me.
Thanks for your time

UPDATE AFTER BEING REFERRED TO #FEDORA:
<Madsret> I got problems connecting my sata harddisk to my pc after upgrading the motherboard, hope someone can help me. Details: http://pastebin.ca/41636
<daniel> Madsret: It's a LVM issue
<daniel> Perhaps you're missing the initrd. Did you change the kernel when transfering from working to non-working state?
<Madsret> im not experienced, lvm? i dont think i changed the kernel either
<Madsret> So could it be the initrd?
<ananke> uhmm, it's not lvm issue
<ananke> lvm problem is just an after math of being unable to see the drives/controller
<Madsret> Well it does show the linux bootup menu with all kernels displayed if i press enter..so the hd is properly connected
<ananke> doesn't matter
<ananke> lilo/grub will still load the kernel regardless
<ananke> the kernel/initrd itself doesn't have the drivers for your new mobosata controller
<ananke> sure. redo the initrd/kernel to include support for your new mobo sata controller
<Madsret> alright, how to do that?
<ananke> uhmm,
<ananke> you boot using the old mobo, then you consult #fedora
