We have an immediate need for 1 Unix Systems Administrator.Duration 12+ monthsLocation Alpharetta, GARate  40.00/hr Requirements:Technical Skill Set - Basic skills in DBA, DASD, SFW configuration Proficient in UNIX UNIX troubleshooting - Determining file space issues, and addressing solutions (e.g., requesting additional storage, or locating alternate space) Addressing system or process outages, and requesting support from UTS (unix technical service) and/or PDBAs (production dba’s) Basic knowledge of C++, and ClearCase Basic knowledge on licensing and run time environments  Soft Skill Set - Self-motivated Can lead one’s self and determine what is the next step to address the project, and get all the tasks completed Does not need to be checked in on a daily basis to inquire about progress or status of tasks Self-reliant Knows how to solve problems by considering all the possible options, and then trying each one until the problem is solved.  This is preferred before consulting with the manager for assistance. Strong in critical analysis Determining what other options need to be addressed Determining all the implications that may arise from each option that may be chosen Interface with internal groups Contacting Unix Technical team to coordinate upgrade effort on Production and Support servers Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Interface with external groups  Contacting 3rd party vendors to inquire about tool capabilities, and inquire about price quotes Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Experience in upgrades and/or conversions Categorize which servers are at which versions, and define which need upgrades Coordinate with UTS and/or PDBAs Prepare or update spreadsheet that displays status Experience with telecom, a plus Please respond to me ASAP with a resume if you are available and interested.
