The DataPack needs YOU !! (everyone read pls)
Due to the coming of C4, to the fact that we have tons of info and due to the fact that the DP is running short on devs, we need YOUR support, we need YOU to be a part of the team. We are fully aware that many of you might 'apply for a position', that doesn't mean everyone will make it to the team (if you don't, don't feel bad or discouraged, it's NOTHING personal).
Of course, there are a number of prequisites that must be met. Most important ones are:
- good knowledge of the english language (if we cant understand eachother, we wont get anywhere)
- an incredible amount of patience and resistance to stress, and sometimes resistance to stupid requests or inexistent bugs, etc
- LOTS of commitment towards this project. We are not here to work for ourselves, but to work for the community and to constantly take it to the next level
These are the basic things we want. If you lack any of them .. don't contact us, they're really and truly vital.
Cutting to the chase, we need:
- developers oriented on jython, who understood its mechanism, how it all works, and what it can, or can't do.
- people with LOTS of patience for manual entry on sql
- people with a good understanding of the datapack, people that know where everything is, and why it's there, and where every new feature should be added and of course, why it should be added there.
We will test those of you who 'apply' and also consider all the past contributions you have made to the community (if you have that is :) ), and we will take a decision A.S.A.P.
Those who wish to apply for a position in the DP, post a reply on this thread, or pm me on the forum or better yet, on the IRC channel.
We thank you all, both for your interest, and for your patience through time. Now .. let's make this work. (Oh yea, forgot to mention one thing ... we're gonna have to rebuild most of the Data Pack, just to know what's in stored for u ;) )
