Our CGP 5.0.2 system just went down. Linux Mandrake 2.6.15 kernel, Intel 32-bit. Running on the Reiser filesystem. It came back up Ok with a manual restart.
The following was in the syslog:
Feb 7 11:32:09 iowa CommuniGatePro: failed to write seqID
Feb 7 11:32:21 iowa CommuniGatePro: CommuniGate Pro Server 5.0.2 finished
Extracting what seems relevant from the CGP log...a few seconds prior to the crash, I see some failure to create temp files, then:
11:32:09.05 0 TEMPFILE(363779999) failed to create the file Queue/09/363779999.tmp. Error Code=too many files open in this process

11:32:09.07 0 TEMPFILE failed to write seqID on disk: Error Code=too many files open in this process
11:32:09.07 0 SYSTEM Abnormal termination initiated
Is this something we're supposed to configure in Linux, or what are reasonable limits? Resource limits?
We compile our own kernels, so is there a place we should be configuring the number of open files?
Thanks,
