Initially there will be downstream speeds of 8MB. Upstream speeds are
yet to be determined. Prices have not been released as yet.
For the most part the broadband will be via the current cable network,
however there are plans to move into the LLU market.
Once everything is implemented then ALL the changes will be advertised.
The reason why the branding announcement has come before any real facts
and figures is because we have stopped selling the TV side of things
completely until the new products are launched. There was no point
advertising products and prices that were about to change. So a holding
page was created and people can register their email address in order to
receive updates.
The plan is to launch everything around the last week of April. Around
the start of June an up to 18MB service will made available. Details of
the new prices should come around the second week of April. The new
website goes live on April 16.
These dates can be brought forward, and can slip, but that is the
current timeline.
