<JustinCarmony> but I can't figure it out in ASP.NET
<fuzzybunny> oh no doubt
<fuzzybunny> I'm experiencing the same thing
<fuzzybunny> except the opposite
<fuzzybunny> kinda
<JustinCarmony> yeah
<Kenman> try and take up python
<JustinCarmony> pfft, forget that ;D
<Kenman> it took me all of about 30m to port abut 50 lines
<Kenman> i was like, no that was easy
<Kenman> and I can't type
<JustinCarmony> fuzzybunny, a handful of helpful tips. PHP is loosly typed, so its flexible that way , and the PHP documentation is awesome, so look there often
<JustinCarmony> but speaking of which, I gotta go to work
<JustinCarmony> just ran up here to commit some stuff to a repository before work :P
* JustinCarmony is now known as Carmony-away
* kexman has quit ("Leaving")
<fuzzybunny> hmm
<fuzzybunny> is there a way to do this with a nice schnazzy GUI like with VS2005?

<TDT> fuzzybunny: If you're looking for a PHP GUI editor, some people enjoy Eclipse for coding. I'm not that fond of it, but some like it.

<Wolfpaws> PHP... GUI editor? wha?
<TDT> He wants something like Visual Studio 2005, which has fancy highlighting, as well as breakpoints and so on.
<smoking_shadows> fuzzybunny:komodno
<TDT> Eclipse comes closest to that, at least to my knowledge.
<smoking_shadows> activestat's
<smoking_shadows> fuzzybunny:check zond or zeus
<smoking_shadows> i specialize in guis
<smoking_shadows> i dont waste my fingers over typing in the damn code which is trivial
<Wolfpaws> TDT: Then you've mixed up the terms... that's IDE
<smoking_shadows> rather only the core code
<smoking_shadows> there is a phpformgen at sf.net i saw this morning
<Wolfpaws> !+enter
<php-bot> Don't use the enter key as punctuation. Think in complete thoughts, then type.
<kaylee_> have any of you played around at all with 30boxes api?
<enygma> lol...i read that as "phpformen"
<smoking_shadows> :D
<Wolfpaws> hah
<kaylee_> I want to add a custom quick view to my page...but I'm not quite suire how to get started with that
<smoking_shadows> kaylee_:shuv it up your @$$, it ll get you started :D
<TDT> Wolfpaws: Not really, he didn't specify he was trying to create GTK GUIs through PHP and needed a designer for it. He basically said he needed something with a snazzy gui like thing, like visual studio.
* _Rappy_ has quit ("Ex-Chat")
* smoking_shadows makes fun of kaylee just to release his stress due to last few hours of work
<enygma> snazzy...that's a fun word
<kaylee_> smoking_shadows: was that supposed to be funny/cute? or are you just showing that you're a complete fucking moron that feels compelled to say something even though they have nothing the slightest bit useful to say?
<kaylee_> smoking_shadows: go release it somewhere else, I'm not your fucking whore
<Wolfpaws> TDT: Eclipse offers only syntax highliting, bot interface builder
* smoking_shadows shags kaylee_ by setting her register globals to yes
* kaylee_ puts on her heavy steel toed boots and kicks smoking_shadows repeatedly as hard as she can
<TDT> Wolfpaws: Actually there are plugins to support breakpoints as well. I'm not sure about debug information, but I am fairly sure there's some sort of breakpointing available. It goes a bit further than a standard php IDE, standard being something like emacs, textmate, or whatever.
<Wolfpaws> fuzzybunny: But if you *insist* on writing desktop applications in scripting language, you might want to look into QSA, Python, Perl or Ruby.

<fuzzybunny> oh I'm sry guys I was afk
* fuzzybunny scrolls up
<Wolfpaws> TDT: I don't remember saying about IDE capabilities, since this is the interface building discussion.
