Commandline interpreter for the Nemiver Debugger (mentor: JonathonJongsma and
DodjiSeketeli)
# Benefits: Make a really great debugger for GNOME developers
# Requirements: C++ programming
# The Nemiver debugger aims to provide a first-class debugger for use in
developing GNOME applications. Currently GNOME has a relative lack of quality
developer tools. Adding a command-line interpreter would allow experienced
users to have all of the benefits of a graphical debugger (e.g. seeing full
highlighted source code, integration with the desktop environment) while still
maintaining the efficiency of using gdb on the commandline.
# Possible alternate ideas involving Nemiver: Create a memory inspector,
investigate adding a new debugger backend for e.g. debugging python programs
(Nemiver is designed with a pluggable infrastructure so it can use multiple
debugger backends)
