Scrubrunt1<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = AIM /> (11:50:55 PM): sry bout that
TorrenteBordeaux (11:50:57 PM): np
TorrenteBordeaux (11:51:25 PM): like I said, it's different for everyone... I know people who wouldn't have fun playing games, yet at the same time, I know people who would be bored to tears at a musicl
TorrenteBordeaux (11:51:27 PM): musical
Scrubrunt1 (11:52:04 PM): i gues so, and its just hard for me to comprehend that people wouldn't enjoy it....
Scrubrunt1 (11:52:11 PM): do those people like movies??
TorrenteBordeaux (11:52:18 PM): yup
Scrubrunt1 (11:53:36 PM): they're very much alike. i gues what i'm getting at is that a musical has a storyline, that is easy to fallow, and include situations that everyone can relate to
TorrenteBordeaux (11:53:46 PM): games are the same way
TorrenteBordeaux (11:53:49 PM): most have storylines
TorrenteBordeaux (11:53:56 PM): and include situations that can relate
TorrenteBordeaux (11:54:07 PM): but really... movies are a lot different than musicals
Scrubrunt1 (11:54:25 PM): like getting stuck at a dead end? like this "argument";
Scrubrunt1 (11:54:27 PM): lol
TorrenteBordeaux (11:54:31 PM): lol
Scrubrunt1 (11:54:34 PM): how?
TorrenteBordeaux (11:55:14 PM): well, the perspective is extremely different; acting on a stage compared to acting on a setting that seems realistic... then there's realistic action, as well, and much more detail in movies, usually
Scrubrunt1 (11:57:07 PM): yes and no. in movies they seem more personal but in theare u have the detail and u can't just make part of the stage disapear, u have to figure out how to utalise the whole area so that itl'll be most effective...they are very alike, the view just has a different perspective
TorrenteBordeaux (11:57:40 PM): they are alike in some ways, but they're very different in others... many people don't like that single perspective, they prefer the open, realistic scenes
Scrubrunt1 (11:59:36 PM): some do... at it is very realisic from a stage too. and in a good stage you can get different perspectives by switching the scene around, but u have to take into account that u can't have the actors back to the audience and other blocking stuf
TorrenteBordeaux (12:00:15 AM): ya, but not having your back to the audience and things like that make it less realistic... i wouldnt' say musicals are very realistic at all... not that that's bad, it's just not like a movie
Scrubrunt1 (12:00:45 AM): how aren't they realistic?
Scrubrunt1 (12:00:54 AM): ndm
Scrubrunt1 (12:00:57 AM): nvm*
Scrubrunt1 (12:02:55 AM): but thats the beauty of theater dealing with those limitations and making the best of them. being on a stage is the primative type of entertainment and so its not going to be as "realistic" but at the same time it still is very realisic...its just instead of just seeing part of the area, u see the whole picture at once, you can pick what u want to look at
TorrenteBordeaux (12:03:37 AM): i still wouldn't say it's realistic though... at all... like I said that's not a bad thing, it's just different from movies, which is what some people would prefer
Scrubrunt1 (12:03:59 AM): what exactly is realistic?
TorrenteBordeaux (12:04:04 AM): lifelike
TorrenteBordeaux (12:04:07 AM): like movies
TorrenteBordeaux (12:04:19 AM): lifelike and real-looking
Scrubrunt1 (12:05:03 AM): so it would be realistic for you as an onlooker to be right up in these people's face when they're making out??? or having an intimate discussion?
TorrenteBordeaux (12:06:03 AM): im not talking about the view of the onlooker being realistic... neither movies or plays have realistic views... im talkinga bout the content itself being realistic
Scrubrunt1 (12:06:43 AM): u can't get more like real life when u see it going on live. before ur eyes
TorrenteBordeaux (12:07:02 AM): you can't?
TorrenteBordeaux (12:07:08 AM): movies are extremely realistic
TorrenteBordeaux (12:07:17 AM): because they look like everyday occurences
TorrenteBordeaux (12:07:19 AM): plays do not
Scrubrunt1 (12:07:26 AM): how?
TorrenteBordeaux (12:07:55 AM): they're on highschool auditorium stages... with cardboard props... not that it's a bad thing, im not dissing plays or musicals, im just saying it's different
Scrubrunt1 (12:08:38 AM): i kno theyre different, but the general aspect the over all feeling that they give you are the same
TorrenteBordeaux (12:08:52 AM): I would disagree
Scrubrunt1 (12:08:56 AM): movies came from plays theyre going to give u the same effect
Scrubrunt1 (12:09:11 AM): in general
TorrenteBordeaux (12:09:12 AM): that's not true... movies came from books, but they don't give you the same effect
Scrubrunt1 (12:10:15 AM): no but think bout it, befor movies what did people go see?
TorrenteBordeaux (12:10:23 AM): plays...
TorrenteBordeaux (12:10:27 AM): or they read books
TorrenteBordeaux (12:10:37 AM): that doesn't mean they give the same effect at all
Scrubrunt1 (12:10:41 AM): SEE
TorrenteBordeaux (12:10:49 AM): if they gave the same effect... there would be no need for movies
Scrubrunt1 (12:10:54 AM): plays, but the general feeling an idea is the same
TorrenteBordeaux (12:10:58 AM): i wouldn't say so
TorrenteBordeaux (12:11:02 AM): there was nothing else to go see
TorrenteBordeaux (12:11:11 AM): if there weren't movies yet, all they had were plays
Scrubrunt1 (12:11:12 AM): yes ther, would, not everyone can watch a play in their hous
TorrenteBordeaux (12:11:28 AM): not everyone can watch a movie in there house... people could always go see a play
TorrenteBordeaux (12:11:30 AM): or read a book
TorrenteBordeaux (12:11:41 AM): im just saying, the feeling is no where near the same in movies as in plays
Scrubrunt1 (12:12:00 AM): the general feeling is.
TorrenteBordeaux (12:12:13 AM): i would have to disagree
TorrenteBordeaux (12:12:15 AM): for example...
Scrubrunt1 (12:12:18 AM): i've gotta go. my church is early, we'll continue this later
TorrenteBordeaux (12:12:20 AM): lol k
TorrenteBordeaux (12:12:24 AM): i'll give that example later
TorrenteBordeaux (12:12:25 AM): seeya
