<tsmithe> Once upon a time Cinelerra wandered into the big big world of Free Software, where it had to embrace two very new things: "community", and, which stemmed from that, "licencing issues".
<tsmithe> Cinelerra didn't like either of these things, and decided to shut itself up in a brambly forest, up a tall and windy tree. It gave away its key, but no-one took it, nor did they dare step further than its house's door mat, for fear of what lay inside.
<tsmithe> Indeed, it was inside that these community and licencing issues brewed. Those who entered did not stay for long, and it was not encouraged to talk with others before you acted. Instead, bricks were layed higgledy-piggledy, all over the place; and in some places, people had even done the same job twice.
<tsmithe> This meant that when Cinelerra tried one day, having had the feeble notion that a "-CV" surname would aid it on its path to world domination, to become popular in this so disliked happy community, it had many problems, and these problems could not be seen for want of shears to cut down that fog of brambles.
<tsmithe> Through this fog, the X-ray eyes of the Archive Admins, who granted entry to the various enclaves of community acceptance could see clearly, and rejected poor little Cinelerra. However, instead of trying harder to stand up, like a real Prince(ss), to its divisions, Cinelerra retreated once again into it's windy castle with its higgledy-piggledy interior.
