No more copy and paste: The tutorial must explain how to do something not just do it and allow someone to just add it in the server. The exception to this rule is if it is a bugfix to a specific server (not tutorial) and if its a feature that is custom and dosnt have a real way of explaining i.e: connecting to another server while on a server.

No more varients: If its been done before we don't want it unfortuantly for you new server goers this is going to make creating a tutorial hard. However this also forces you to become creative.

the first rule will piss alot of people off obviously basically it means most every topic in the tutorial section will be locked. however this will overall be for the benifit of the community and possibly take it out of the slump it is in. it will also require some tweaks to the template. maybe replace steps with information and add another bold part for "example." for just 1 copy and paste part not an entire thing.

Acceptable topic example: (will need some minor changes but it can slide) http://www.moparscape.org/smf/index.php/topic,35851.0.html

Unaccpetable topic example: http://www.moparscape.org/smf/index.php/topic,92926.0.html

here is also an example tutorial following these 2 rules.

Purpose: to explain what the method sendFrame126(String s, int id) does.

Server Base: All

Classes Modified: Client

Method:sendFrame126(String s, int id)

What it does:is a method that that allows the writing of text on interfaces.[/i]

Arguments:

    * String - which holds the text your going to change
    * Integer - integer which holds the child interface id your going to change

The Code:
Code:

	public void sendFrame126(String s, int id) {
		outStream.createFrameVarSizeWord(126);  //sets packet id to 126
		outStream.writeString(s); // writes string to packet
		outStream.writeWordA(id); // write child interface id to packet
		outStream.endFrameVarSizeWord(); // close packet
		flushOutStream(); // puts buffer offset to 0
	}

Usage example:
Code:

sendFrame126("A Shop Name", 3901);
