Vague Error Message

Hey guys. I'm getting a vague "There were errors during installation, please restart and try again"
message during the installation. The "Copying files" part under "Installing the Base System"
reaches 100% (about a third of the way through the installation in its entirety.) Then, right after
it goes to "Configuring your Installation," it quits installing, and gives the error.

Here's a link to my specs from Everest:
http://www.angelfire.com/planet/truthoughts/Report.txt

And it's 10.4.5, maxxuss patch, burned to DVD+R, installed from booting at startup, not on VMWare.
I've deselected all printer drivers, X, extra fonts, languages, etc to maybe try pinpointing where it goes wrong, but no difference.
And selected everything in the custom install field appropriately to my hardware.
My partition is recognized by DiskUtility and formatted to Apple Journaled before install, with no problem.
Tried two different burning programs on two different computers, with clean DVD's, same story.
I'm usually one to search forums for answers first, but didn't really find anything, and most of my hardware seems to be supported in the wiki.
Sorry about the length, but I thought more details might help clarify a problem that seems pretty vague to me.
I don't want give up on this, so I really would appreciate any suggestions, thank you :)
