Beryl is a composited window manager with the goal of creating a stable, usable, and cutting edge composite desktop experience.
Lately we have discussed a lot of things related to the problem of creating an overall and complete composited desktop, and have reached the conclusion that a lot of things need to change at a lot of levels, a lot of adhoc standards need to be created, and a lot of cooperation needs to be done with similar projects.
To this end we believe joining the freedesktop community is a great idea, and hence this application. We are applying for GIT, mailing lists, a bugtracker product, and of course accounts for our developers.
