KEY ELEMENT:

Very powerful, professional Content Management Systems. Currently there is not a single decent off-the-shelf CMS for
gaming sites. All the current ones are ill-supported, or very poorly coded. I want to make an extremly decent powerful one that is coded very well (so runs extremly well). The site will then take the "others" out of business as the system will be charged at a similar price, and will have alot more features, run alot quicker, and have much better support.

Although the original design of the system will be available (and relatively simple) other templates will be created for download for users, as well as custom made templates for those who wish to pay extra. MODS will be available to add features to the system.

The main priority is to make a very powerful CMS that runs very well and is very easily customisable, even for someone who has relatively little coding knowledge.

Features should include:

===========================
=        Front End        =
===========================

>  Game News
>  Game Reviews
>  Game Previews
> Game Pages (Information on games, related articles, etc)
> User Reviews (Users can submit reviews to games)
>  Featured articles section (Frontpage)
>  Game Polls
>  Article Comments
>  Registered User
>  User Wishlists
> Platform templates (E.g. PS3 news one colour, PS2 news another, etc)
> VGBulletin/Userdatabase integration (Users registered on VGBulletin are registered on site)
>  Search Function
>  Mod_Rewrite on URLs
>  Top Games List
>  RSS Feed support
>  Cheats section

===========================
=        Back End         =
===========================

>  Control Panel backend
>  Games list
>  News Posting
>  Game Posting
> Text Editor (So they can see what they are doing)
>  Media (screenshot/Video) Uploading
>  Add/Edit/Delete News/reviews/previews/editorials, etc.
>  Custom Game Rating Schemes
> Staff can access different areas of site (e.g one staff member can have access to Media but not news, another can access
news and not media, etc)
> Different areas of site can be "turned off" very simply. (e.g webmaster may not want Polls on the site)

===========================
=        Webmasters       =
===========================

>  Extremly Easy Customisation (Front-end)
> Ability to upgrade with "mods" as and when we create them.
> Advertising system (Easy advertisment management)
>  Affiliates/Partners section
>  Free Tech Support

===========================
=         Expenses        =
===========================

>  Initial CMS Design cost
>  Domain Name Cost
> Additional Coder Costs (E.g. For Mods/On-Going support)
>  Forum Cost
>  Hosting Cost

===========================
=         Profits         =
===========================

>  CMS Sales
>  Template sales
>  Individual Customisation of template/system

===========================
=        Incentive        =
===========================

> VGPortal used to charge $120 for their CMS. It was poorly designed and very slow. It still sold over 1,140 copies according to the Forum Members count (Only become members once VGP purchased). The system is so crap that they had to lower their price to just $40...

If we sold our powerful CMS for $100, we're bound to get a large amount of purchases, and referrals, as it will be very good.

===========================
=        Marketing        =
===========================

>  Forum Advertising
>  Gaming Site Advertising
> Ask Kas about his marketing
> Referrals (need excellent customer support and powerful system for others to recommend)
