This is allows one to establish a background 'noise' subtract for wifi induced hop packet loss
and to seperate real packet loss events down the line from locally induced packet loss with a
decent degree of confidence (example shown is representative of many routes to servers tested
on cable and dsl connections from the same physical location). So I've been kind of wierded out
by the Level3 backbone in Chicago showing noticable packet loss above this background noise for
a few days now. Is it just me, can someone ping ae-1-100.ebr1.Chicago1.Level3.net (4.69.132.41)
for a while and tell me if they notice any packet loss?
