Dear customers,
I've got three announcements, please check each to make sure if it's applicable to you.
1. For all customers, we're changing our upstream network provider next week. This work should take place on Tuesday night at 22:00, and should only result in a few minutes downtime, although the maintainance window is open until 02:00 in case of unforseen problems.
2. For all shell, web and mail hosting customers, we're migrating our main server (light) to a faster machine with more RAM to address some of the load issues we've been facing recently. This will take place on Saturday morning from 09:00 onwards, and should be completed within a few hours, during which time most services will be unavailable.
3. For all VM and colocation customers, we've replaced our secondary nameserver with a faster and more reliable system, so ns1.bluelinux.co.uk now points to the address 217.147.94.65 rather than 80.68.88.102. If you are using this nameserver in your /etc/resolv.conf, you should update to the new IP as the old nameserver will be withdrawn soon. Any domains hosted with us should be pointed to ns1.bluelinux.co.uk by name already, so no change should be necessary.
Please contact us at support@bluelinux.co.uk if you have any enquiries about this work.
Many Thanks,
Rob
