Quoting from the handhelds.org frontpage:
" The iPAQs h19xx, h22xx and h4xxx and the Dell axim Xy require a 2.6 kernel which isn't officially supported by 0.8 yet. There will be a 2.6 enabled image released soon, but for testing purposes only. And *don't* use BootBlaster on these handhelds."
Quoting from http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqH2200:
"This Wiki is a whiteboard for the project to run Linux on the HP iPAQ h2200 series PDAs. This is a port in progress. But there is good progress and there actually things to see. There is a starters kit to get you started soon. We have collected a lot of documentation. There is still lots of work to do. Think of writing kernel drivers, a bootloader and to get lots of user space stuff done. That means BootBlaster, bootldr and friends DON'T work on the h2210, you'll destroy your ipaq if you do use them!!"
Could you please point me to the HOWTO that said to use bootblaster on the h2210, so I can get that removed from the internet?

Koen

I have some problems when installing bootldr on my iPAQ 2210. I hope that someone will be able to help me.
Following the different HOWTOs found on the net, I tried first of all to use the BootBlaster 1.18 as mostly recommended but unfortunately I can't launch the program (it leaves immediately). I tried older version of BottBlaster and found that the 1.11 version is the most recent which works on my iPAQ.
I have to say I had tried BootBlaster 3900 before that also works but, on my mind, I think it is used more probably for the 3900 series.
When I select the Verify Option, I have the strange message "Your flash is in an unrecognized state."
And when I tried to program to install a new bootloader (for example the 2.18.01 or 2.18.52 versions as recommended) I have the "Programming Flash" prompt which freezes and nothing happens. Fortunately, I always can reboot my pocket pc without to have transformed it in a brick.
If somebody has good suggestions to help me to go on with this installation, I will be very, very happy...
