Brief description:
I was running xfce4 and i noticed gaim would NOT launch, nor would limewire and a lot of other appliactions. In adition to this, xfdesktop and xfpanel both crashed and I was unable to run a new aterm of open the xfce run dialog to restart the processes. As a last resort I went to restart x by logging out of xfce properly and running startxfce4. As of now FVWM2 and aim are working.
Question:
Simply, how can i resolve the above problem? Also if there is a reson for this occurance I'd like to know about it.
