Hi there,

I was reading your posts for the SATA on the nforce4 chipset. I added your kext and it worked!!! on my AMD X2 machine. I am using an Abit KN8 nforce4 mobo.
Thank you very much for the great work.

Sometimes when I reboot it will hung but some other times it works just fine.
Do I need to do anything else besides adding the kext?

I have a question you might be able to throw some words of wisdom for me.

I can’t get any PCI cards to work or be seen by the OS X or my usb sound card/synth.

USB storage devices work fine.

When I plug my usb sound card it is being detected but it says it doesn’t have any outputs.

This usb sound card worked fine on a laptop with an intel chipset. So I think it is not the

SC kext but something wrong with the chipset.

When I install the kext I get an error msg:

“Driver_name_virus_ti No kernel dependency”

So I edited the plist.info of the SC, there was a line:

<string>????</string>

and added 0x0815133e

<string>0x0815133e </string>

Where 0815 is the vendor id and the 133e the dev.

I did not change the permissions on the file.

Despite this it didn’t work.

I’m I missing something here.

Is there another kext I should add for nforce4?

Thank you very much!
