 My Support Think Tank Application

A few months ago i began helping some of the members on the support forums with the problems they were having with their boards. I helped as many as i could and, before i knew it, I was helping people via PM and MSN with their board problems too.

Recently i haven't had that much time to provide support as i have been busy with other things. However i hope to have more time for that in the coming weeks.

Anyway - i had an idea. It may have already been considered, but just in case i thought i'd suggest it. At the moment, users can submit support tickets to ask for help if they need it. Although i've never seen a support ticket, i'd guess most of them (or at least some of them) are simply users asking questions about how to use a features/how to enable somthing etc. Which is pretty much what most of the questions asked on these forums are.

So - here's my idea - what about making some of the common support tickets (that have already been answered) public in a seperate forum or somthing like that. This way members would be able to see answers to questions already asked before. The forum could act as an archive that could be updated every so often.

Another advantage to this is that it shows some of the newer members what a support ticket is and how it is handled. Now this could also be another idea. Take only a few support tickets and make a pinned topic somewhere (or update the topic already available) that contains either screenshots or the contents of support tickets that have been submited so that users unfamiliar with the feature can see what's appropriate.

I'm not sure what else i should include in my application, but i hope i haven't wasted your time, and look forward to a reply =)
