Rootdir of the vhost contains: index.php (splash page)
Rest of the site is in /site

User should be able to hit sitename.com and go to the splash page (index.php).

The splash page then redirects to /site/index.php.
/site/.htaccess contains the following rewrite rule which should rewrite /site/index.php?action=bleh to sitename.com/site/bleh
