<asulao> hello. trying to setup a simple 2-nic bridge according to http://tldp.org/HOWTO/BRIDGE-STP-HOWTO/ but I can't seem to get it to work
<asulao> even simple test as in http://tldp.org/HOWTO/BRIDGE-STP-HOWTO/set-up-the-bridge.html#BASIC-SETUP doesn't work either
<asulao> bridge gets created Ok, if <bridgename> gets created ok.
<asulao> packets from outside seem to get into de box where the bridge is, but packets going out do not seem to make it.
<asulao> a simple ping to any ip in the brigde fails with Unreachable host
<asulao> tried to set up routing manually. when I set up the bridge, the command brctl seems to have removed the original eth0 and eth1 routes.
<asulao> added manually. tried 2 cases: 1) manually I added route to the bridge itself, and 2) added manually routes to original eths
<asulao> nothing seems to work.
<asulao> iptables disabled
