jpm_SD just so you know the 1.2 "beta" is stable it's just unreleased becuase of licensing issues they are working out... I imagine when 1.2 hits it won't be call "Asterisk".
jpm_SD The political landscape developing between openPBX and Digium on the whole is fasinating to say the least.
malverian[work] I like OpenPBX because they give commit access more freely.
malverian[work] And i don't have to sign my life away to commit a small patch
jpm_SD Yup... that's it's appeal.. but if digium makes a deal with sangoma like which they might... OpenPBX is going to have a hardtime keeping traction.
jpm_SD But then again.. if the developer stick on the project...
jpm_SD Like I said... fasinating.
jpm_SD can't wait to see what happens.
jpm_SD There is a good chance that when * 1.2 hits it'll be something like OpenAsterisk and will have a more lax commit policy. Just my conjecture on the subject there.
malverian[work] What makes you think that?
malverian[work] I don't see why they'd suddenly stop asking people to disclaim copyright.
jpm_SD To directly combat OpenPBX and draw the devel back... I see them pulling a Redhat...
jpm_SD I was at the table with the VP of Sales from Sangoma when Mark came over and sat down with us and started talking.
