The screen sprang to life, replacing the somewhat mundane and rather featureless spacescape with a most unusual sight. With the backdrop of a Danube-class run-about's cockpit, a man appeared. He was somewhere in his later years with hair quite reminiscent of a supernova in shape and starlight in colour and his nose protruded quite obtrusively from beneath unhygienically bushy eyebrows with a set of twinkling, albeit somewhat beady sea blue eyes. Prominent laughter lines were displayed on his face, which was currently crinkled into a toothy off-white grin as he addressed the people before him. His voice was surprisingly high-pitched and nasal and had a note of distraction about it, as though he were thinking of something else whilst speaking, despite visibly appearing to pay attention.
=^= Captain Bill Arlen is it?... I'm Professor Marcus Winters, chief consultant for the holoscape imaging system you're about to test for me. Be a good chap and beam me aboard would you... =^=
Phrased as more of an order than a request, he clearly expected absolute cooperation. His accent betrayed him as an Englishman, possibly from the southeast of that island.
