# Menu (m key)
begin
prog = mythtv
button = red
repeat = 3
config = m
end

this is an example

button up there means the lirc button name, i.e. what irw spits out when you press the button.. e.g. TV

config = the key that mythtv is expecting, e.g. "A" or "alt-F1"
