Sweetheart,
I'm so amazed and so grateful yet so confused. I'll tell you sometime what I think about chance and magic. What I know for certain is that life gives you opportunities but never makes them easy; our meeting each other fits right into this. Despite your leaving UT, we've found each other, and I couldn't be more happy. You are the last thing I expected. You are honestly a dream guy for any girl, especially for me. You say all the right things and actually mean them. You're incomprehensibly intelligent and sensitive. You're funny, playful, and charismatic. You're amazing, and I'm so grateful you feel the way you do about me and that you treat me as perfectly as you do. It's unbelievably surreal sometimes. I can hardly believe things have fallen into place like this, that we've found each other so serendipitously.
I know that, no matter what, I just want us both to be happy, and I feel the best way to achieve that is for us to be together. It won't be easy, I know, because of this stupid situation I've gotten myself into. I'm asking you, though, to please bear with me, to please wait for me, to wait until next year. I know it isn't fair to you, and I understand if you don't want to or don't think you can. I believe that if we can hold on until then, we'll both be so much happier than if we just give up.
