Major bug Issue

I need asterisk/freepbx setup so a call coming inbound from a trunk can be
transferred by receiver on a internal extension to another internal extension
and also allow for when a internal extension call someones out the
trunk and then wants to transfer (hand over) that call to another internal extension.

This is controlled by the tT options.

So I configure this in freePBx under the general area using the below settings

Asterisk Dial command options: tr
Asterisk Outbound Dial command options: Tr

And to change the key sequence from # to something else like ##
The feature.conf file needs to have at least blindxfer => ## so regular # is not
caught and used for transfer thus inter-fearing with some ivr systems as documented in a bugfix.

And features.conf
[featuremap]
blindxfer => ##                 ; Blind Transfer
;disconnect => **               ; Disconnect Call
;automon => *1                   ; One Touch Record
;atxfer => *2                    ; Attended Xfer

However when this is enabled with the above setup. This causes serious problems. Kernel mode issues
I've tested it on manual installs of Centos 4.3 and 4.4, with freepbx 2.1.2, 2.1.3 and trixbox with 2.1.1 freepbx.
It might be a asterisk bug I've tested it running asterisk 1.2.12.1 and 1.2.13. Basically all kinds of install versions.

What happens is when I call out to someone, say a IVR or anyone for that matter. If I send ## it will say transfer as it
should. However if me or callee sends only one simple # tone. The call will go dead air, silence on both sides. No other
tones will make it come back. But the real problem is While the call is in this state, I cannot ssh into the box while
that call in still connected with dead air in the state. If I am already in ssh it will not respond. It will stay in this state
until I or the callee hang's up the call. At that moment when the caller hangs up the callee will hear the rest of the # tone
before being disconnected.
Then everything will immediately come back, the server will regain responsiveness. During this dead air call I can still ping
the asterisk box, but even the console hangs in limbo until this call is disconnected. Not good as one extention can hang the whole PBX
Currently I am running trixbox 1.2.3 as I installed this too to see if it would happen here. And it does. Very strange issue.
I do have a TDM400P with 2fxo and 2fxo but I do not believe this to be the issue and it will happen even when dial out a sip trunk. I have all unnecessary on-board stuff of, parellel, serial ports. Its a Asus P3-BF motherboard. running 900Mhz processor 512MB RAM and I am having no hardware issues or strange problems IRQ wise. Everythign else works fine.
