11:15 PM - Crazy Ivan: Well played Comrade Pilot.
11:16 PM - »9D Pilot: Great job!
11:16 PM - Crazy Ivan: I did my job.
11:16 PM - Crazy Ivan: It was fun.
Crazy Ivan has changed their name to Haroquen ~{SR}~.
11:23 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Any thoughts?
11:24 PM - »9D Pilot: We did well this match. With more practice we could improve as a team, though I know Smug won't find the time to schedule anything like that.
11:25 PM - »9D Pilot: The team did a good enough job highlighting some key points about our strategy
11:26 PM - »9D Pilot: so instead I'll critique on what we could have done to make the victory even easier
11:28 PM - »9D Pilot: Sticky camping their door would have shut them in more. Scoot should have moved his sentry (the first half) to the box on mid. I could have guarded our intel from the lone failspy. If we're to face higher skilled players, we need to expect these tactics.
11:29 PM - »9D Pilot: Minus also should have rushed the intel immediately (if he wasn't already doing that)
11:29 PM - »9D Pilot: I wasn't watching him too much.
11:29 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Minus got caught up flicking around and fighting, he doesn't have a head for objectives. Scoot's panicy and spys aren't good for him, but oh well.
11:30 PM - »9D Pilot: Yeah. Scoot is a VERY cautious engie
11:30 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: For the sticky camping, it would've been good, but Crit is usually good about finding something to keep him busy.
11:30 PM - »9D Pilot: which is both good and bad
11:30 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Cautious is a word for it.
11:30 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: I'd say "panic prone" myself.
11:31 PM - »9D Pilot: "about-to-piss-his-pants-if-someone-is-within-a-300ft-radius-of-intel"
11:31 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: That's a bit more wordy, but more precise.
11:31 PM - »9D Pilot: Haha.
11:31 PM - »9D Pilot: What are your thoughts?
11:32 PM - »9D Pilot: Even though we faced lower level players, HL will be full of them. What tactics worked the best for you on Turbine?
11:32 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: We played well. It was no one's best or worst match. Most standing thoughts about the players remain unchanged. We could have done better, but overall our coordination and technical skill are above par right now. I don't have any outstanding remarks right now apart from yours. Oh, but I did see you try to axtinguish a pyro. I scowled.
11:32 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Generally for turbine though?
11:34 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Focusing on keeping the enemy locked into their Spawn hallway is the way to be, and just have the scout or another light class run the intel. Most of what I know is related to attacking based on situations.
11:34 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Although, the best defense on turbine is always the best offense.
11:35 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Scoot was good where he was since we didn't have much field presence, just a lot of intel pressure. With a more secure hold on their spawn though, setting up in the main room or agressively in their vents/intel hall is always a good bet.
11:35 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Our sniper I didn't see much of, so I'll presume he did his job, although he could have had a superior presence in the main room, again that's related to actually controlling that space though.
11:36 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Soldiers and Demos can get the intel and escape on Turbine Pro, because the vents actually empty out onto a ledge above the intel, not just dump down, that can be useful.
11:36 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: I noticed two times Crit could have taken that out if he'd thought to.
11:37 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Myles did well although a more present Pyro would've wrecked him.
11:37 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Infact I can cofidently say he'd have been shut out by a better pyro, but I don't have a good technical grasp of spy so I can't conjecture on how he could be better.
11:43 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Heh, an amusing thought occured to me.
11:43 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Because you're in charge of 9D
11:43 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: You're Captain Shepherd.
11:43 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~ snickers
11:44 PM - »9D Pilot: Hahahaha! Yes, I know. I keep treating my axe like a powerjack. that'll change with time.
11:44 PM - »9D Pilot: I agree with your analysis.
11:45 PM - »9D Pilot: And
11:45 PM - »9D Pilot: you can just call me Commander Shepherd.
11:45 PM - Haroquen ~{SR}~: Yes sir Commander.
