After importing image, got following error message from VirtualBox:
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine BRL-CAD_X.Y.Z_ubuntu_10.04_LTS_x86.
Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)' (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).
Failed to attach the network LUN (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).
Had to go to Network settings, selected Bridged Adapter, type "Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)"
Displays grub menu on boot -- would be nice to just autoboot to first entry so no interaction is required.
Love the double-console windows on login!
BRL-CAD logo for Desktop background? New logo would be awesome: http://brlcad.org/d/node/92
Rename "vuser" to "brlcad" or even "BRL-CAD"? Alternatively "caduser" or similar, but would be nice to leverage our branding.
Double-clicking brlcad-config.sh prompts run or view, but run does nothing (confusing). Suggest replacing with a README that introduces the image (perhaps the same one being used on the downloads page) and includes a simple build walkthrough. We don't want to shelter them from learning the steps
Suggest renaming "local-docs" to "Documentation" and include website pdf docs there. Put Bullet link in an "Other" subdir so it's available but out of the way, not to be confused with BRL-CAD docs.
Love the code samples, though I'd suggest some alternates. I'll come up with a list...
Love the web browser bookmarks. :)
Suggest deleting Downloads directory (Firefox will automatically re-add it).
