**Item #:** SCP-1055
**Object Class:** Safe
**Special Containment Procedures:** The object requires no specific special storage, it can be stored in any available unit. Interaction is permitted for all personnel (excluding D-Class – reference event SCP-1055-a). Do not consume fluid or remove fluid from cup without express permission.
Transporting SCP-1055 requires great care, as one droplet of the fluid will try and succeed in making its way back to the cup. Express caution must be taken when transporting the object over long distances, as an increase the distance between a particle of the fluid and the object itself directly influences its travel speed and possible exertion of pressure.
**Description:** SCP-1055 is, by all appearances an ordinary plastic cup. However, the cup exerts no force and is entirely weightless. No means of destruction have been found yet, it appears to be impervious to piercing, tearing, melting or shattering. The object contains exactly 3.63 fl oz of tap water at all times. If more fluids are added to the cup, they will slowly drain out; albeit through no visible means.
One of the more confusing effects of the object is the fluid’s attraction to the aforementioned cup – it will travel directly to it by any means necessary. The fluid does not react instantly, however; testing has indicated that it can take anywhere between forty five minutes to three hours for the fluid to begin its journey. It is theorised that this is directly exponential to proximity, but further testing is required. The fluid will eventually make its way back to SCP-1055, regardless of its location or containment, as its time away from the object increases the force it can exert, eventually making it possible to puncture [REDACTED] after two weeks.

The object in question was found placed sideways on one of the tables in a ████████ located in ████████ on ████ at exactly ██████. It was brought to ████████ Police Station’s attention by a very confused patron of the restaurant. It was then quickly confiscated by the Foundation for testing.
**Event log 1055-a:**
**Subject:** D-Class personnel D/1055/A
**Description:** D/1055/A was being used to assist two researchers while conducting inquisitions as to the possible use of SCP-1055 as a pressure exertion tool. D/1055/A was set to rendezvous with [DATA EXPUNGED]. Surveillance footage showed that while D/1055/A was waiting for the personnel, he drank from the cup, presumably not realising what it was – or what it would shortly do to him. Dr ██████ and Dr ██████ arrived approximately 30 minutes later. By this time, D/1055/A was doubled over, complaining of severe abdominal pains. Exactly ten minutes after their arrival, D/1055/A appeared to lose consciousness before proceeding to [REDACTED].
**Notes:** D-Class personnel are no longer to be used as test subjects or assistants – we cannot afford to keep cleaning up the [REDACTED] of personnel.
**Addendum:** Dr ██████████ was given some of the fluid to taste. He claimed it tasted of watermelon. Oddly, all tests show that the fluid is chemically identical to tap water in the ███████ area.
