Ingredients
1 lb bag of pinto beans (apx. 2 1/2 cups)
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
3 tbsp bacon drippings, lard, or ghee
1 tbsp garlic, course chopped
1 tbsp salt
1-2 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp cumin
4 1/2 cups water
Directions
1) Put all ingredients willy-nilly into a crock pot.
2) Cook on high until boiling then switch to low heat.
3) Ensure beans are covered with water and cook overnight.
4) Mix the beans with an electric mixer until smooth.
