For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a writer, perhaps put out a novel or a book of poems one day. All I know is that magic happens when I pick up a pen and a blank slate of paper glares back at me. The same magic happens when I step out onto a stage and hundreds of eyes are staring at me from their seats, waiting for me to sing a note or act out a scene. Here at Brooklyn College I am pursuing an education that will help me to achieve these dreams. I am going to major in English and minor in Theater so that I have the best of both worlds. Aside from my academic desires, I am a very family-oriented and sentimental person. My memories with my loved ones, particularly my mother, father, and two older brothers are a gift most sacred to me. From my mother I get my sensitivity, my love for Broadway, musicals, and old movies, from my dad I get my love for my Puerto Rican heritage and Salsa music, and from my older brothers I get my knowledge and love for sports, especially baseball. My family is everything and they have made me the woman I am today.</p></p> </font></body></html>
