*Situation: Unit 100 is in a 10-80. Units 200 and 300 assisting in the 10-80 with unit 100 in the lead*
Unit100: 10-80 in progress heading West on Broadway. *waits until the suspect makes a turn*
Dispatch: Copy Unit 100, available units respond.
Unit200: Unit 200, enroute. *Gets to the chase* 200, joining chase.
Unit300: *was near the incident* 300, joining chase.
Unit100: Southbound on 425W.
NOTE: At this point, there should be NO unneeded noise over the whisper bind and there should be VERY limited talking going on un the channels themselves so the information can be heard.
*unit 100 spins out and unit 200 is the next cruiser behind him*
Unit200: 200, taking lead. *From then on, 200 will be updating the chase.*
NOTE: Cruisers will NOT try to overtake each other! ! ! ! If you spin out, the next person takes the lead!

*Situation: Shots fired, unit 200 reporting*
Unit200: Dispatch, be advised. Shots fired "LOCATION". *IMORTANT: BE SPECIFIC. DONT JSUT SAY "IDLEWOOD," SAY "IDLEWOOD MOTEL" OR "IDLEWOOD GAS STATION"*
Dispatch: Available units please respond.
Unit300: Enroute, ETA 30 seconds. NOTE: THATS IT! you dont need to say anything else or keep updating your eta.
Unit300: 300, on scene.
Dispatch: Keep us updated.
*updates on the situation should be given every 20-30 seconds*
*once the situation is over, the unit that called the situation says it is code 4"
Unit200: 200 reporting, situATION IS code 4.
Dispatch: Thank you unit 200, all units return to normal patrol.

*Situation: Simple traffic stop*
Unit300: Unit 300, 10-26, "LOCATION" No backup needed **NOTE: SPECIFIC location. Use street names if possible.
Dispatch: Thank you, 300. Keep us updated.
*if from then on backup is needed or there is some need to talk over dispatch, the unit may do so. Otherwise, just say at then end of the traffic stop that you are returning to patrol*
*Situation: Simple traffic stop with backup needed, unit200 is already busy.*
Unit300: Unit 300, 10-26, "LOCATION" One additional unit please **NOTE: SPECIFIC location. Use street names if possible.
Dispatch: Copy that, unit 100 please respond
Unit100: 10-4, 100 enroute ETA 30 seconds.
Unit100: 100, on scene.
Dispatch:10-4, keep us updated.
*At this point only the unit that initiated the traffic stop should talk*
*When it is over, the unit that initiated it should say something*
Unit300: 300 reporting, returning to patrol.
Unit100: 100, returning to patrol.
