I am writing in reply to an email I received from you this morning
containing a list of the candidates invited to your prestigious
publication's media debate. It was my impression that those answering
the questionnaire you distributed last week would be invited to this
debate. Imagine my surprise, then, when I failed to find my name in
the list of invited candidates. Perhaps you did not receive my answers
to the questionnaire? I am loathe to believe the omission of my name
from the invitee list was intentional. Surely you (and the other
candidates to whom this reply is addressed) would consider that a
serious miscarriage of democracy.
