22:10 < pfarrel> the walking challenge is on!
22:13 < gporter> looks like mark might take this one :o
22:13 < stroan> sarah log an infinite amount of office walking?
22:14 < pfarrel> just still at it logging that same walk to work every day, and the same 2
hours of walking around the office
22:14 < pfarrel> like what's the point
22:15 < stroan> it got me walking to and from work
22:15 < stroan> and doing so briskly
22:15 < stroan> certainly got me into a better place
22:15 < gporter> but you dont log any more :o
22:15 < pfarrel> she's been doing it for months and has no alternative to a brisk walk to work
though, just seems stupid to me
22:15 < stroan> gporter: yeah, but still walking, so I don't feel bad
22:16 < pfarrel> everyone else could bother to log a similar amount of walking each day, but
                 it's just noise
22:17 < pfarrel> I'd be worried for mark that he's going to wreck himself doing deadlifts and
squats without having learned how to do them, he's doing some mad weights
22:17 < stroan> pfarrel: doesn't hurt any, and I found the little I logged at least made me
aware of what I was doing / not doing
22:18 < pfarrel> sure, but what i mean is that she literally has no choice about her walk to
work, she'd going to do it 5 days a week rain hail or shine
22:18 < pfarrel> and it forces everyone else to log stupid stuff in the challenge to keep up
22:19 < stroan> the walking gives that many points?
22:19 < stroan> my walk to work used to be like 60 each way
22:19 < shenlok> it only gives her like 100 points
22:19 < pfarrel> her week of it will add up to about 800, which is a single serious workout
22:20 < stroan> probably is equivalent from a health pov
22:20 < stroan> going for one run a week, and a week of walking
22:21 < pfarrel> the run wouldnt nearly get you 800 points unless you ran a solid hour at a
                 good pace
22:21 < pfarrel> and if you could do that you'd be fit enough that the walk would do nothing
                 for you
