RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Essential Functions:

·         Responsible for enterprise-wide security architecture, policy and procedures.

·         Responsible for monitoring & maintenance of security systems and software.

·         Responsible for successfully responding to & resolving customer issues related to security.

·         Responsible for daily proactive diagnostics to prevent or alert anomalies and resolve error messages.

·         Responsible for successfully driving and maintaining a completely secure infrastructure. Also included are all aspects of daily Security infrastructure operations support and management; from solutions spec/delivery, to systems build and support, and full scale tiered Information Lifecycle Management.

·         Researches emerging infrastructure technologies and processes by reviewing white-papers, attending conferences, coordinating project demonstrations, and preparing recommendations for business solutions.

·         Proficient documentation skills utilizing MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel and Visio.

·         Ensure network solutions are meeting the business metrics.

·         Advises on new techniques and estimated costs associated with new or revised programs and utilities, taking into consideration personnel, time, and hardware requirements, and makes trade-off analyses.

·         Performs security audits, risk assessment and analysis

·         Makes recommendations for enhancing data systems security

·         Researches attempted breaches of data security and rectifies security weaknesses

·         Must be available 24/7 for critical data outages /restores.

 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:
	

Bachelor’s degree desired with a preferred major in computer technology and/or business related field.   CISSP preferred.

Experience:
	

5-8 years of hands on Information Technology experience with proficiency in deploying and maintaining security environments built around Cisco, Juniper and CheckPoint solutions .

 

Skills:
	

Must have prior experience with designing, planning, setting up a network-wide Security architecture.

Proven aptitude with Security Management tools

Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Analyzes problems, determines the most effective and efficient solutions for the company, and implements the resolution in a timely manner. Ability to work under the stress of meeting many requests and deadlines that sometime conflict.  Performs research, evaluations, determines compatibility, and recommends hardware and software.  Maintain confidentiality. Communicate effectively and professionally with users and various technical staff.  Must present technical information in a non-threatening way.  Must use judgment on level of communication and amount of technical information given. Executes a Root Cause Analysis and determines how to resolve complex technical problems. Must be flexible, adapt well to changing needs, work independently, and be a team player, as well. Ability to learn new tools and technology quickly and effectively and train others. Must complete tasks as assigned and scheduled. Must be attentive to detail and accuracy and constantly taking the initiative to look for improvements. Leads researches, evaluations, determines and recommends the most cost effective solutions for the company in regards to new technology. Ability to operate effectively in an environment of frequent change and ambiguity. Work independently with vendors for the best course of action for the company. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing. Must meet attendance and punctuality requirements and occasionally work different shifts and varying hours (nights and weekends).
