Procedure:
1. Rinse cups, beakers, and dialysis tubes. Let the dialysis tubes soak in DI water.
2. Make 0.1 mol, 0.2 mol, 0.3 mol, 0.4 mol, and 0.6 mol lactose solutions.
  1. Measure out lactose using the electronic scale in a ratio of 36g per 100mL of distilled water for a 1 mol solution. Multiply the lactose by 0.1 for a 0.1 mol lactose solution.
  2. To aid the solution process, heat the solution for 30 seconds in a microwave. Stir thoroughly afterward to guarantee solution.
3. Put two spoonfuls of ice cream into a cup and let it reach room temperature.
4. Cut rubber bands in order to seal dialysis tubes.
5. Seal one end of each dialysis bag with half a rubber band.
6. Fill each dialysis bag with 5mL of ice-cream and seal the other end
7. Weigh each filled dialysis bag.
8. Put the filled bags into each corresponding cup, filled with X moles of lactose. And cover the cups with seran wrap. You may need to use weights to hold the dialysis bags submerged.
9. Following day, remove the bags from the cups and record their weights.
