Abyssal Conundrums - By Moe Is 4210 - Your Chance to Get an Idea In-game!

Brief: A mysterious rift to another dimension has opened within the Abyss. The Dark Mage of the Abyss and the Monks of Zamorak are struggling to maintain stability within the abyssal space. They call on experienced Runecrafters to venture into the Abysm and ensure stability within this dimension. With it, they are able to access rifts that lead to Runecrafting altars... of sorts. Elite Runecrafters will gain access to five new runecrafting altars and runes, unlock runecrafting abilities, and new Runecrafting gear...

CONCEPT: From within the Abyss lies a small teleportation rift which takes you to the Abysm, which takes you to a deeper portion of the abyss. In the centre of the Abysm lies another Abyssal Rift (same one as the one with the Dark Mage).
This holds the dimension together. To keep this stable, you must stabalize rune energy around the room. You do this by channeling rune energy into the pillars (similar to the ones at Runecrafting altars) around the room. It is not very easy task, however, as the Abyss has a tendency of sprouting and creating abyssal vegetation, abyssal rocks, boils and tendrils to be exact. Once you have stabilized the dimension in this fast paced method of training the skill, you gain access to four new Runecrafting rifts, each venturing off into a Runecrafting altar. Crafting these mysterious runes unlocks new capabilities and gives Runecrafting the update it needs!

- Dimension Stabilization -

You must stabalize the dimension once every four hours. After four hours, you lose access to the rifts. You can, however, stabilize the rift further after you've fully stabilized it. This allows it to remain as a training method. There is an interface that shows the stabilization percentage, you must reach 100% for it to be fully stable.

In the centre of the room lies the Abyssal Rift - The Rift that holds the entire dimension together! Around the room are Abyssal Pillars, they glow with Abyssal Magic and on the top of them are a rune of a certain kind (only chaos and higher). You channel energy into the pillars which flourish the rift's stability. Stabilizing each altar requires a certain level to channel energy into it, for the highest experience possible, you should try to have levels to be able to channel all abyssal pillars.

Chaos Pillar requires 45 Runecrafting
Nature Pillar requires 54 Runecrafting
Law Pillar requires 64 Runecrafting
Death Pillar requires 75 Runecrafting
Blood Pillar requires 87 Runecrafting

There is a slight issue, however, as the Abyss is quite volatile, it also has a habit of growing and creating tendrils, boils, rocks (same as the ones in the main abyssal area). These things spawn at random all the time, and using your firemaking, woodcutting, and mining skills, you must relieve the abyss of these disturbances before it gets out of hand. Too many abyssal vegetation causes the dimension to destabilize quicker than you can stabalize it. This also allows the player to receive experience in all of these skills while training Runecrafting! This is considered a 'rune sink', by effectively creating a Runecrafting training method while using up runes and removing them from the economy.

- The Rifts -

* For Developers: Numbers may need to be revised for balancing and more precise economical prices. The idea is for these runes are to be profitable.

There are 4 rifts in total; each rift leading to a new runecrafting altar. The Abysm has effected certain Runecrafting Altars in such a state that they have fused. The graphics are the same as current altars, simply using models from both altar to give a fused/warped look, having both elements in one altar really.

Chaotic Law Altar (Requires 85 Runecrafting) - The Runecrafting Altar of both Chaos and Law rune properties. Crafting a Chaotic Law Rune requires four chaos runes, two law runes, and one pure essence.

Cosmic Nature Altar (Requires 89 Runecrafting) - The Runecrafting Altar of both Cosmic and Nature rune properties. Crafting a Cosmic Nature rune requires four cosmic runes, two nature rune, and one pure essence.

Bloody Death Altar (Requires 93 Runecrafting) - The Runecrafting Altar of both Blood and Death rune properties. Crafting a Bloody Death rune requires one blood runes, one death runes, and one pure essence.

Abysm Altar (Requires 95 Runecrafting) - The Abysm Runecrafting Altar! Crafting an Abysm Rune requires one Chaotic Law, one Cosmic Nature, one Bloody Death, and one pure essence. There is a chance of failing, decreases as you level Runecrafting to 0% when you are 99.

- Runes -

Chaotic Law Rune can be used for various new teleportation spells into the high level wilderness. Chaotic Law Runes also work for Chaos and Law rune spells. Increased effectiveness with combat spells that require a chaos rune.

Cosmic Nature Rune can be used for various new enchantment spells.
Enchanting teleport jewellery with Cosmic Nature runes gives them more charges, and hence more teleports.
You are also able to enchant crossbow bolts with a Cosmic Nature Rune which gives them an increased chance of the special happening.
Alching an item with a Cosmic Nature rune has a chance of saving that item from being alched. Cosmic Nature Runes can also be used for spells that require cosmic/nature runes, such as the spells on Lunars.

Bloody Death Rune can be used for the spell 'charge', leaving you charged for a longer period of time with increased hits. You have a lesser chance of splashing any blast/wave/surge spell when using Bloody Death Runes for casting. You have a chance of saving a Bloody Death rune when using surge/wave/blast spells. Increased effectiveness when using a spell that requires both a blood and death.

Abysm Rune - the most epic rune of all time! Combined with every single catalyic and abyssal space properties, this rune packs quite a punch! This rune allows you to use any spell that requires a law, nature, cosmic, death or blood rune (quite an inventory space saver when you're carrying many runes!). Increased effectiveness on all combat spells that use a chaos, blood or death rune. Abysm runes can be used to replace any rune when stabalizing the Abysm.

A new spell, level-7 enchantment (which requires ~91 magic to cast), which allows you to enchant Abysm equipment & jewellery. This opens an interface (similiar to crossbow enchantment), which shows the various equipment/jewellery that can be enchanted, each requiring a certain number of Abysm runes.

- The Abyss -

Abyssal Creatures now drop new Runecrafting equipment!

~ Abyssal Gem (Uncommon) - Used to craft abyssal jewellery.

~ Abyssal sprite - A micro black hole, ie, abyssal space, held in your hand. It is very tiny and allows you to use some of the abyssal space's potential towards Runecrafting.

- XL Runecrafting Pouch - Holds 14 extra essence. Requires 85 Runecrafting to use.

- Abyssal Equipment -

Abyssal Gem can be chiseled and crafted into an Abyssal Bracelet, Abyssal Ring, Abyssal Amulet, each requiring a certain crafting level. 81, 83, and 86, respectively. Enchanting an Abyssal Bracelet requires four Abysm runes. Enchanting an Abyssal Ring requires eight Abysm runes, and enchanting an Abyssal Amulet requires 12 Abysm Runes.

Abyssal Bracelet allows you to remain cloaked to the abyssal creatures for 8 abyss runs (every time you teleport into the abyss you lose one charge). This will also have the same effects as a forinthry bracelet. Once all charges are used up, the bracelet crumbles.

Abyssal Ring allows you to teleport to a random runecrafting altar (death/blood unlocked when you've completed the quests required), with 4 charges. Once all charges are used up, the ring crumbles.

Abyssal Amulet offers the same stats as a Dragonstone amulet. It has 4 charges. Each charge teleports you to Edgeville. It offers an experience boost when training Runecrafting through the Abyss, excluding catalyic runes. You also have an increase chance of saving runes when Runecrafting. Chance of getting extra runes when crafting catalyic runes (Bloody Death, Cosmic Nature & Chaotic Law). Chance of being teleported directly into the centre rift (where all the RC rifts are) when teleporting with the Abyssal Amulet.

Abyssal Sprite is one-handed wieldable item. It is like holding a very small black hole in your hand, with the same pose as holding eek. Abyssal sprites are not tradeable. It requires 85 Runecrafting to wield.

- Infuse Abysm Runes into Abysal Sprites, for up to 20 Abysm runes maximum. Each Abysm rune gives you one charge, which allows you to be teleported to the abyss.

- Abyssal Creatures will not attack you while weilding an Abyssal Sprite.

- At level 87 Crafting, you can attach an Abyssal Sprite onto a battlestaff for an Abyssal Battlestaff. This requires 40 attack, and 70 magic to use. It gives unlimited elemental runes.

For further capabailities, you can also align the Abyssal Sprite with an altar. You can only align it to one altar at a time. Aligning the abyssal sprite with that altar requires the same level runecrafting required to make that rune.

An abyssal sprite aligned with that altar will give the player a chance of recieving more runes when runecrafting at that altar, and a small experience boost when runecrafting at that altar.

Aligning an abyssal sprite with the Abysm altar gives the capabilities for all altars!

Thanks for reading. I hope this makes it to the top. The Abyss is in dire need of an update since the return of the Free Trade and Wilderness. Runecrafting also needs some high level content and abilities, and to make the skill profitable once more. I also wish to make the economy more healthier by removing the flooding of runes.
