So, I got one of the new macbook airs (Intel GMA 3000). KMS is completely failing. I get the right DPI (but wrong resolution) in the upper left corner of my screen…and garbage in the rest. There is a bug on it from an identical machine here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39533. mjg59 suggests that it might be because of the eDP panel and AUXCH not being turned on…and the dmesg from the bug seems to indicate that this is worth investigating. Does anyone more familiar have an easy fix before I try and figure out how i915 DRM works?
