Greetings to Nigel, Rob and all at the Black Sheep Arms!

I hope you remember me, I'm the English guy that came for a holiday and ended up falling in love with Visby. I had such a wonderful time in Visby and was made to feel very welcome, having now arrived home in England I find myself already missing Visby and eager to return!

With the help of my friend Karl and his girlfriend I have been looking into what is needed to facilitate a move to Sweden, while at the same time I am searching for a property or apartment to rent in the Visby area, having registered with a couple of letting agents and reading advertisements for private rentals.

After speaking with you while I was in Visby you made a potential offer of employment at Black Sheep Arms informing me of a position opening around August or sometime shortly thereafter and I was very excited by this, it would be the catalyst that would enable me to move to Sweden and change my life!

Having looked into what is needed to move to Sweden I understand I would need a firm job offer as I would need to apply for a residence permit as I'm hoping this move will be a permanent one, and one of the requisites for application of the residence permit is a form to be filled in by your employer stating you do actually have a job to come to. It could be that you would know more about this process as you yourselves are not from Sweden and probably had to go through similar procedures, but this is my understanding.

So I was hoping that I could get some further confirmation from yourselves as to if the offer still stands, as I would have little more than 2 months to arrange all the necessaries. I have a dog in England and unfortunately would have to re home her, together with handing in notice to the landlord where I rent here in England, arranging the shipping of some of my possessions and saying goodbye to friends and family. All of this will be a challenge for me, but I am extremely enthusiastic about the future and optimistic about how I can potentially fulfil my small dream and make the move to such a beautiful country as Sweden!
