Okay, folks, for those who have said they miss my blog postings and tweets, here's the deal.

What you need to know is that a) I am still "on hiatus" but may occasionally post something I think is interesting, b) I did NOT give a lot of thought to the title, other than that I didn't want it to contain any of the words from my previous blog title, so please don't pick it apart, and c) this will NOT be exactly the same as my previous blog — it will give more coverage to the things that interest me, and less to things that are driving me crazy (particularly certain technology-related topics I have written about in the past). I'm not saying there won't be any technology-related posts EVER, but those are NOT going to be the focus. Oh, and d) Topic Police are NOT invited. There is NO set topic in this blog.
Also, you're probably not going to like it if you think everything you see and read from major media sources is true, because I certainly don't believe that. I don't believe everything I read in the "alternative media" either (there are a lot of nut cases and spreaders of deliberate disinformation out there), but each carries some truth and some nonsense.
This will expire in 48 hours because I do NOT want there to be a permanent link between my old blog and the new one. This is only so those of you who are faithful readers can find your way to my new blog. Please do NOT post this information in any public forum — if anyone does, I probably will just stop posting altogether (at my age, I probably won't be posting for much longer anyway
