In the midst of passing the jelly-like substance known as Polaner All Fruit one diner requests, "Would you please pass the jelly?" (where as everyone else referred to the product as Polaner All Fruit) causing either shock or anger across the table, notably from the elderly female.
Joe the Plumber:
This political advertisement deploys plain-folk appeal by viewing a segment in which candidate Obama was having a disagreement with a working man, Joe the Plumber, and capitalizing on it favorably for Joe the Plumber and John McCain's campaign.
War Bonds:
During WWI and WWII the U.S. helped fund their war efforts by selling bonds at poor interest rates to citizens. As purchasing bonds was voluntary, aggressive advertising was used to persuade people into buying these bonds. One advertisement used the bandwagon method by showed several people praying and text on the poster ordering people buy war bonds.
